Class of 2019 Project List

• Blessing Bags - Providing young women and girls with feminine menstrual products needed to pursue healthy lives. Given to Combined Community Services. 
  
• Creativity and Recovery - Hosting art sessions at the Beaman Home for women and children to recover through art.
  
• Destiny Rescue - This group partnered with a christian based, non-profit organization that rescues and restores children from sex trafficking. They did this through the selling of bracelets to rescue children. 
  
• Ekklesia - Worshipping event for the community during Holy Week. There was worshipping, praying, music, and passages from the Bible. 
  
• Elementor - This group went to elementary schools to tutor and help students with their schoolwork. 
  
• Labor of Love - This group partnered with Joe's Kids to create weighted products for children with sensory processing disorders who may not otherwise be able to afford them. 
  
• Pack the Mission - Supply drive for Fellowship Missions. The drive took place at Martin's Supermarket and Owen's.
  
• Parkview Pediatric Personal Care Packages - Provided personal care packages to the kids in long term care at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
  
• Red Hearts for Riley - Gifts and items for Riley Children's Hospital that were collected through school drives and donations. These gifts were given to children on Valentine's Day. The group also focused on community outreach and promotion of Riley's. 
  
• Run for a Hero - A race organized to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. The race will have prizes and much more! 
  
• S.M.I.L.E. - This project was a peer mentorship to help sixth grade girls adjust easier to the junior high next year and have upper class men to talk to. 
  
• ​Steven Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund - To raise awareness and funds for the Steven Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund. They did this through teacher jean day, spirit week, and basketball game fundraising. 
  
• The Garage - Closet at the middle school for children in need of gently used clothing. 
  
• The Wagon Wheel is a Good Thing - Encouraging the youth in Kosciusko County to get involved in the Wagon Wheel, and give back to a major part of this KYLA student's life. Completed this task through volunteering at the Wagon Wheel and speaking at the Bakers Youth Club to students. 
  
• Wrapped in Warmth - Provided a nursing home in our community with quality blankets for every resident.
