KYLA Program Paused for 2020-2021
To: Area High School Juniors (and parents) We have made the difficult decision to have a one-year pause in the K.Y.L.A. program due to COVID-related concerns. Area high school guidance offices have been notified and we are contacting the few students who applied for admission directly. We currently plan to send applications to each school In late Spring for the 2021-2022 academy class. We are tentatively planning for that class to be open to students who will be Juniors AND SENIORS. This plan would allow this year's Juniors to apply to participate as Seniors, along with students who will be Juniors next Fall. We anticipate that we will need to accommodate for a larger class due to this plan. We will keep the applications we already received from applicants earlier this year. If these applicants want to apply to participate as Seniors, they may choose to use the application we already received or they may choose to complete a new form in the Spring. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions/concerns. Best regards, Barb Goslee Board President barbgoslee2020@gmail.com |
